non-dominant hand challenge, #13

Oh my, oh my, oh my is about all I can say.  After tangling this, my hand is exhausted.  It was an interesting challenge.  I am SO uncoordinated with my left hand but I DID IT!!  :)   Now it is time to soak in some suds, I do believe  :) 

notecards

YAY for Friday!  Well, I ran some errands the other day and got some notecards printed up.  I think I am going to try to list them on Etsy.  I think they did a good job on them.  Not sure they will sell, hoping so, but it was fun making them in any case.  :) 

One more Challenge #12 tile.

No work available this morning, so another Challenge #12 tile...Something Blue.  It is pouring down rain this morning, so a picture was hard to come by.  I just love peacocks.  :)  Actually, that is how I discovered Zentangle®, googling for whimsical peacock paintings  :)

Obviously, I should have spent more on the ink pad because the kitty didn't turn out "solid" enough and I should have bought the one that said "India ink" but other than that, it was a fun little experiment.  I will be at Hobby Lobby tomorrow, guess I will get some better supplies. 

Weekly challenge #12---something blue

Well, I got home this morning from TN all ready to work.  Unfortunately, work was not ready for me....so, I did two challenge tiles.  For some reason, I had the ocean and/or water on the brain.  Anyway, it is dreary out again.  I got out my work light to take the pictures and they turned out OK.  Better than last week's anyway.  I probably will do more later in the week.  This is the first time I had put color on an actual Zentangle® tile.  I always just use good ole' black and white but it was fun.  I used watercolor pencils and put a slight amt of water on them only.  :) 

Meeple

Well, this post will be short and sweet as usual.  The picture didn't come out very clear.  I have to work on that, but I finally tried "meeple" and they are pretty cute.  Seemed like a good tangle for Dr. Seuss's birthday.  I have been tangling a bit this a.m. and now I have to get my stuff together, run to the tax accountant's office, meet a friend for coffee, and then head to my watercolor class (I've missed the last three and am anxious to return!).  I love Wednesdays (my day off!)!  :)  I hope everyone has a fantastic day.

Diva Challenge #11, my first as a CZT

Week #11 challenge, the "monotangle."  I love curvy lines, so I went with Purk. This is my first challenge since coming home from Whitinsville.  If you ever get the opportunity to go to the CZT seminar (if you haven't already) take it!  It was the most wonderful three days.  You will be amazed how much you have in common with all these creative people who you have never met but understand you!  It is almost freaky but in a wonderful way.  I would like to go back someday!

Diva Challenge #10

I too like to fill up all the space.  I still went to the corners with this one but I left the paisleys without drawing in them.  I did add a little shadowing.  Hard to get a good picture today as there is no sunshine and it is sort of gloomy out.  I wanted to try to finish this before I left  :)

two more days!

I only have two more days at home before I catch my flight!  I am getting very excited.  Yesterday I made another collage.  I like doing these, they are fun  :)  Today, I am going to do my best to avoid my pencil, pen, and paper and get my house spic and span.  I like to come home to a clean house.  I also have laundry to do and need to start getting my stuff together to pack.

Friday before Whitinsville

I am getting so excited about going to Whitinsville on Tuesday.  I finished working and decided to practice some tangles.   I am still working on shading.  This was really fun to do!  Now off to Target with me and my son and probably some dinner.  Hubby is in California.

Second week #9 tile

I have the day off, so I decided to do what else  :)  This is really not a tile, as it is a full-size sheet of paper.  I am so ready for spring so I decided to go a little crazy with plants. I used one of my favorite things that I like to tangle (peacock feathers).  I haven't found it anywhere but I have used it in several of my tangles.  I sort of stole it from my watercolor peacock painting.

Weekly Challenge #9

I was so glad to hear that Artoo is doing better.  Here is my tile for Challenge #9.  Hopefully this will be the beginning of a happy spring  :) 

Happy Friday

Well, I got up to no work once again, so I decided to start tangling.  Big mistake.  I have five ACEO cards here and now I have got to get to work.  I have a date tonight  ;)  Oh I also, made my van reservation for when I land in Boston and kennel reservations for the pup.  I'm starting to get excited about my trip  :)

My first Diva Challenge

This is my first blog post and my attempt at a weekly challenge, even though it is Challenge #8. I don't know Laura yet but I am praying for her and her family.
